Pigs.

Dahlia was a wild piglet, found alone on the side of the road. Taken in by the Humane Society, she then came to live with us. Dahlia is a sweet little girl who loves belly rubs and her best friend, Daisy.

By sponsoring Dahlia for just $10 a month, you are helping us give her top quality nutrition, basic medical care, and a loving, safe place to call home.

Daisy was a wild piglet, found alone in an abandoned goat pen. She spent about a month with her rescuers before being surrendered to the Humane Society. When the Human Society called us, we were excited to take her in and give her a forever home. She immediately attached to Dahlia and they became BFFs. Daisy is our feisty little girl and loves to tease the goats and play with humans.

Happy

Happy is somewhat of a local celebrity. Bought, as a tiny piglet, by a woman who wanted to show people that pigs are #friendsnotfood, she often travels to events around the island to let people see just how amazing pigs are. For various reasons, she isn’t able to keep Happy anymore, but was worried she’d end up being eaten. She asked if we’d take Happy and give her a “happy” life and we “happily” obliged. 😆 Happy will continue her work out in the public and, during her down time, she’ll enjoy simply being an everyday pig.

Lala was a wild piglet, found orphaned (most likely due to hunters), by some passers by. They took her home but quickly realized that she wasn't a "house pig", and that she wanted to go out and do all the things feral-breed pigs love to do; so they reached out to us and we were happy to offer her a new forever home. Today Lala roots in the dirt, plays in her pool, and talks to her other piggy friends. She is truly living her best life at BIFS!

Norman was a wild pig, rescued from the lava flow in 2018. While in foster care, he got out and came back missing an eye. He has healed just fine and we love our big-hearted, one-eyed boy. Norman loves mud baths and long naps and we're happy to give him a forever home at BIFS.

By sponsoring Norman for just $10 a month, you are helping us give him top quality nutrition, basic medical care, and a loving, safe place to call home.
